Stella Nagujja Sengendo: Disaster Risk Financing in Uganda

Stella Nagujja Sengendo, Disaster Risk Financing Coordinator, Office of the Prime Minister, Uganda, talks about the disaster risk financing mechanism implemented in Northern Uganda where the communities of households receive a predictable transfer to sustain their livelihoods, build or create their assets, smoothen their consumption and also create savings out of it. She thinks that the disaster risk financing mechanism covers more beneficiaries who are in need and helps the vulnerable households in times of crisis.
