Abdillah Bin Azizudin: Need for Awareness on Disaster Risk Finance in Malaysia

Malaysia, in recent years, has been experiencing a number of natural disasters, such as floods. Abdillah Bin Azizudin (Principal Assistant Secretary, Strategic Investment Division, Ministry of Finance, Malaysia) talks about the Disaster Risk Finance (DRF) strategies already under consideration in Malaysia and the challenges faced in the process, including a lack of awareness. He also gives us insights into what he has learnt from other countries’ experiences on DRF, through the Executive Education training program, and which tools he thinks can be adapted to his country.
