A World Without Risk Finance

A World Without Risk Finance – Crisis and Disaster Risk Finance Program

Countries need to take early action -developing or strengthening prearranged finance and other systems - that can save lives, reduce costs and humanitarian needs, and protect development gains against disasters, climate shocks, and a wider range of crises.

The Crisis and Disaster Risk Finance (CDRF) team, housed in the Finance, Competitiveness and Innovation Global Practice at the World Bank, offers a suite of analytical, advisory, financial, and convening services designed to help vulnerable countries increase financial resilience against disasters and crises, enabling them to shift away from being crisis responders to becoming proactive risk managers.
