[WB-IMF Annual Meetings 2026] Financial Protection for All: Innovative Pre-Arranged Finance and Insurance Solutions to Scale Resilience

The World Bank Group, in partnership with the International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS) and Insurance Development Forum (IDF), is pleased to invite you to a high-level convening, on the margins of the World Bank Annual Meetings in Bangkok, that will bring together senior policymakers, regulators, industry leaders, development partners, and experts to explore how insurance and pre-arranged risk financing can protect livelihoods, ease fiscal pressures, and accelerate recovery from climate and other shocks.

Through insights from global leaders, practical country experiences, and a forward-looking dialogue, participants will examine the reforms, innovations, and public-private partnerships needed to close protection gaps and scale resilience across emerging markets and developing economies.
